A class-action lawsuit has been filed against UnitedHealth Group by 39 healthcare providers over a cyberattack on Change Healthcare that disrupted claims processing and payments.
A coalition of 39 healthcare providers, joined by the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA), has filed a class-action lawsuit against UnitedHealth Group, its subsidiaries Optum and Change Healthcare. The suit alleges significant financial losses due to the February 2024 cyberattack on Change Healthcare, which crippled claims processing and payment systems across the healthcare industry.
